What is Vedic Astrology?

Jyotish, science of light, is considered the eye of the Vedas and was divined by ancient seers thousands of years ago to serve as an aid to live in harmony and a fulfilling life in accordance to the dharma.
What is a birth chart?
A birth chart aka horoscope also known as Janma Kundali is a snap shot of the zodiac at the moment of your birth. Think of it as a blue print or a karmic footprint of your life which contains pertinent information on your karmas.
What information would you need to create a birth chart?
I will need your precise birth place, birth time and location of birth to create your birth chart.
How is vedic astrology different from western astrology?
Vedic astrology follows the same zodiac and has the same 12 signs as in western astrology. A primary difference lies in where the signs are calculated from. The Vedic astrology uses sidereal zodiac which measures the stars from a fixed starting point in relation to stars taking the precession of Earth into account whereas western astrology uses tropical zodiac mapping from about 2000 years ago.
What are remedies?
Remedies are practical guidance in form of Mantras, crystals, gem stones, yogic suggestions, pujas, and more based on the planetary influences in the birth chart as well as dashas and current transits.
